What do we mean when we talk about Character Design? Well, simply put, character design is where you take the natural beauty and character of a certain log and "design" it into something special. It is an artwork really. Nelson has a keen eye and can envision how a certain twist or mark on a log can turn into a beautiful piece in your home. Some of the possibilities include:
Log homes are not only energy efficient, but they are a safe and healthy environment for you and your family. Whereas newly manufactured stick-built homes can often off-gas toxic chemicals, log homes normally do not use sheetrock, fiberboard, OSB and other materials which are prone to off-gassing. In an era where we determine to make health a priority, use biodegradable and recyclable materials, and use as little energy as possible – log homes would seem to be an answer.
